Meet Sheenum
I’m Sheenum and I am an interior designer and artist. I founded Colourful Smudges out of my sheer passion to create deeply intimate and luxurious spaces that are visually stunning and heartwarming. I derive huge pleasure in styling spaces that not only look aesthetically pleasing but are also practical and functional. It’s all about creating a balance.
Much of my inspiration comes from my Indian heritage and my mum, which is reflected in both my artwork and design. She was a fashion designer and so I was forever surrounded by opulent textures, sumptuous fabrics, and vibrant colours which gave me the confidence to work and experiment with different materials, to enhance the look of an interior space.
I studied interior design in India and have been honing my expertise since. Always curious and open-minded, my style has evolved since moving to London fusing both eastern and western styles.
My design process is a journey without any preconceived ideas or set rules, as I feel this creative freedom results in my best work.
I take a client-centric approach, focusing on your unique style and ensuring every detail reflects your needs. This results in beautiful functional spaces that are perfect for you, whether it is a social living area or a relaxing bedroom. Comfort and practicality are always at the forefront of my designs.
